Smooth, rich and creamy vanilla ice cream like no other.
INGREDIENTS
makes 2L (approx.)
- 150 ml evaporated milk (small can)
- 1 1/2 cup fresh milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 14oz. condensed milk (big can)
- 500 ml thick cream
- 1 sachet dream whip (powedered whipping cream)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
(please use the real vanilla extract as much as possible, it makes a huge difference from using vanilla essence)
PROCEDURE
Prepare your ice cream machine per your manufacturer’s manual. (Can this be done without the machine? read the answer below)
Combine sugar, salt and evaporated milk, stir until sugar and salt dissolve.
Add condensed milk, stir until well combined.
Add thick cream and mix on medium speed for 2 minutes, add dream whip and vanilla extract, mix on medium high for 2 minutes and transfer to a covered container, let sit in a fridge overnight.
Transfer content to the ice cream machine bowl and churn for 25 minutes (or depending on your machine). Put to your ice cream container and let set in the freezer for 2 hours or until fully set.
Serve and enjoy!

NOTES
Can this be done without the ice cream machine? I think this can be done, but will take you longer. All you need to do is skip the churning part using the ice cream machine, then just put your ice cream mixture in the freezer and let set until firm for a minimum of 3 hours, (depending on your freezer). I suggest that you put all the ingredients in the fridge the night before you make the ice cream, then in the morning, prepare your mixture and in the evening put the mixture in freezer then enjoy the next day.
Why do I need to chill the mixture before putting on freezer? I think this is to “warm up” the mixture before freezing and prevent large ice crystals from forming when you freeze it.

I wish I had an ice-cream maker. I don’t know how I could make it and it come out like yours without one. Any suggestions?

hello,
here are my suggestions,
#1
after mixing the mixture in the mixer, put it on the coldest part of your fridge and let it rest overnight, then the next day put the mixture to the freezer and let it set.
#2
stir and freeze, every 15 minutes for 2 hours, you stir the mixture for a minute then freeze again.
#3
i found a 2 ingredient no machine ice cream recipes, it’s from Gemma Stafford, there, she just mixed the whipping cream and condensed milk and freeze.

Great. It sounds like a lot of work, but maybe I’ll give it a try if I’m home doing other chores. It may be easier just to buy an ice cream maker. Thanks for the tips!
