Nescafe Vanilla Blended Coffee with Coffee Jelly
To make the coffee jelly
- clear flavorless gelatin powder
- coffee (I used 1 and 1/4 tbsp)
- brown sugar (I used 1 and 1/2 tbsp)
- water
- coffee mocha or coffee flavoring (I used 1 drop of coffee flavoring)
Make the jelly according to the package instructions of the brand you are using. Simply combine all the ingredients except the flavoring and stir. Bring to a boil, put in molds and cool completely until fully set.
NOTES : It will be your personal preference when it comes to the amount of coffee and sugar, so I suggest that you mix the water, coffee and sugar first before you add the gelatin powder, that way you can taste and adjust your mixture. When it comes to the amount of water, I always lessen the amount of water than the preferred in the box, this is to make firmer and chewy jelly. Alsa Gulaman suggests 410ml  but I only use 350ml. The coffee flavoring is optional, adding this will boost the coffee flavor without the added bitterness.
Alsa Gulaman unflavored clear variety is better than Mr. Gulaman in my opinion.
To make the blended coffee
- 2 to 3 sachets of Nescafe Vanilla Cappuccino (or the regular 3 in 1 mix)
- 1 mug of water
- 2 cups ice (more or less)
- coffee jelly
- whipped cream topping (optional)
- chocolate sauce (optional)
Put some spoonful of thinly sliced coffee jelly in a preferred container. Dissolve the coffee mix in a mug with water. Â In a blender, combine the dissolved coffee mixture and ice, blend until smooth. Pour into prepared containers, top with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
NOTE : Slice the jelly thin enough that it can pass through the straw you’re going to use.
Enjoy!
Love the coffee jelly. 🙂
