I like this light version of alfredo sauce, it’s easy whip up, it doesn’t spoil immediately and most of all its delicious too. If you are like me who doesn’t like too much cream in a dish like this, this one is for you. 🙂
One might ask, “What’s the difference between Filipino Style Spaghetti sauce and the typical spaghetti sauce?” Well, it’s the BANANA KETCHUP. Yes, we put banana ketchup in our spaghetti sauce and yes, we do have banana ketchup :). The banana ketchup adds sweetness and color to the sauce. As what my husband told me before “to me, a spaghetti without ketchup and hotdog is not spaghetti”, until now at his age, this is still his favorite pasta dish. Aside from the fact that most Filipinos grew up with this kind of spaghetti sauce, this also reminds him (and me) of childhood and birthday parties.
